Your data, your call
How to delete your ArborSlate data
Your family's records belong to you — including the right to walk away with them, or erase them entirely. Deletion is self-serve, immediate, and complete. Here's exactly how it works.
Option 1 — Delete your account yourself (about a minute)
- 1. Sign in and go to Settings.
- 2. Scroll to the Danger zone and choose account deletion.
- 3. Type DELETE to confirm. Deletion runs immediately — it is not queued, and it cannot be undone.
Co-parents: only the primary parent can delete the whole family account. A co-parent can remove their own access (and only theirs) from the same Danger zone.
Option 2 — Ask us by email
Can't sign in, or prefer to ask? Email hello@arborslate.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We'll verify it's you and process the deletion promptly, then confirm by reply.
What deletion actually removes
- Every academic record — grades, attendance, reading logs, portfolios, test scores, compliance logs, planner data.
- All students and their information.
- Generated documents and uploads — transcripts, report cards, diplomas, certificates, receipts, and portfolio files in storage.
- ESA expense records and receipts.
- AI tutor and assistant conversation history.
- Your login itself — every parent login on the account is removed.
The narrow exception: records of payments are retained by our payment processor (Stripe) as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention law. We don't keep your academic or family data anywhere after deletion, and we never train AI on your family's data in the first place.
Want your records before you go?
Export everything first — Settings offers a full export of your records any time, before or after canceling a subscription. Deletion is permanent, so take your copy first.
If you arrived here from Facebook or Instagram
This page is ArborSlate's data-deletion instructions for Meta platform purposes. ArborSlate accounts are created with an email address — we don't use Facebook or Instagram login, and we don't store data from your Meta profile. If you've interacted with ArborSlate through a Meta ad or page and want any data we hold deleted, either option above covers it.
