Money Basics (Grades K–2)

Little kids meet money long before they can count it. Hazel the Hedgehog and Pippin the Chipmunk give your youngest learner the words to go with it. Over 10 short missions — about 20–30 minutes a day for two weeks — your child walks through the Ferncroft Forest Market and learns what money is, how to tell the coins apart, the difference between a need and a want, and what it means to earn, save, spend, and give. Every mission tucks reading, simple counting and adding (to 20), and a hands-on or drawing activity into one gentle story.
